BMW is focusing the development of automated driving (AD) with great effort. In order to develop and test highly intelligent software for environmental perception, maneuver planning and acting, which finally enables the self-driving capability of an autonomous car, a huge amount of environmental sensor data needs to be collected, hosted and processed in an AD Platform (ADP NEXT). The processing covers e.g. broad data analytics, reprocessing and KPI evaluation, simulation, virtual endurance run, etc. The BMW AD team in China is fully integreated into the global network of highly educated experts of different domains. In this job you will play a crucial role at the interfaces between BMW AD SW development and IT teams as well as Chinese internet tech-companies and high-tech AD suppliers. Job Responsibilities: 1. Design, implement, test and support development and deployment of cloud based big data applications used for Autonomous Driving (AD) Software Development2. Management and structuring of requirements provided by BMW's AD development teams regarding the big data AD platform 3. Collaborate with BMW AD development teams and external cooperation partners (big Chinese Tech-Player) regarding data driven development 4. Taking ownership of projects by proactively reviewing, monitoring and reporting the status Job Requirements: 1. Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or related field 2. 5 years of industry experience with developing and managing enterprise workloads on Cloud Service Provider such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud or similar 3. Experience in creating and managing production scale Kubernetes clusters using AWS EKS, Alibaba ACK or similar 4. Experience with development of big data or backend applications. Familiar with at least one of programming language of Java/Python/Scala 5. Knowledge and experience in application development on cloud storage like S3, Ceph, MapR or similar 6. Knowledge and experience in monitoring and alerting cluster using open source monitoring tools like Opensearch, Grafana, Prometheus or similar 7. Knowledge and experience in Relational Databases like PostgreSQL, mySQL, MariaDB, etc 8. Experience with relevant tools (Terraform, Airflow, Ansible) is a plus 9. Strong background working with Linux/UNIX environments and familiar with shell 10. Good communication skills, good language skills in English (written and oral) 11. Familiar with project lifecycles and software processes (both functional and non-functional requirement analysis, system design/architecture, implementation, configuration/build management, testing/integration, user acceptance testing, roll-out, maintenance)
